Happiness in a Box #3: May/June

Happiness in a Box #3 |Food Your Body Will Thank You ForHappiness in a Box #3—Ecocentric Mom May/JunOne of my favorite days is Ecocentric Mom box delivery day!! And in this month’s box I was treated to mommy & baby products ranging from literacy to skin care to munchies.

The subscription this amazing company offers is a great way to help the ladies in your life feel appreciated. Moms work 24/7, so a break in the (joyous) monotony is a welcome moment to pause and recharge our batteries.

All of  Ecocentric Mom‘s boxes are full of green, eco-friendly products and can be tailored for the needs of every woman: Mom Discovery Box (a box is for any mother, from first time moms to moms with older children),  Pregnancy Discovery Box (with products that are safe for you and your baby to use) Pregnancy Box (containing products hand-selected with moms-to-be in mind), and the Ecocentric Discovery Box (designed to provide new types of natural, sustainable, organic, and ethical products for the lifestyle of any woman).

The pricing plan is really cool, too. You can purchase a  year subscription ($24, 6x/year), 3-month subscription ($72 for 3 boxes) or just try a single box ($24). It’s such an easy gift and people are sure to appreciate the emphasis on organic, toxin-free products.

Let’s take a closer look at the May/June Mom & Baby Box

Happiness in a Box #3—Ecocentric Mom May/JunWeleda Calendula Cream Bath

I try not to bathe my children every day for 3 reasons: it prevents their skin from drying out, I’m honoring my state’s horrific drought, and (if I’m being completely honest) it saves me a tiny bit of time in the evening for an occasional small glass of wine and a breather.

However, the occasions do arise when daily baths are necessary (dirt digging, Lego camp, sweaty play!) and this cream bath was awesome! I just poured a little straight into the bathwater for my infant son and gave it to my 5-year-olds to use as a cleansing/moisturizing cream. The sweet floral scent and the silky texture was a pleasant addition to our bath time.

Goddess Garden Organics Sunscreen

Goddess Garden began out of a love of the great outdoors and a desire to provide high quality products for family members. Unlike traditional chemical sunscreens, Goddess Garden is safe, effective, and biodegradable. Their products meet my requirements for the toxin-free items I’ll allow on my little ones’ skin. Also a great item for breastfeeding mommies, since they need to be just as wary of what goes on their skin. Thanks, Goddess Garden!

Lillian Eve Nail Polish

A mompreneur founded nail polish company committed to living a colorful life. Their nail polishes are cruelty-free, vegan, and toxin-free. I was so excited to receive this product because it’s really difficult to find cute colors in toxin-free cosmetics. This is definitely a splurge item and I am so excited to use it with my first pedicure!

Simply Seven Snacks

These are TASTY! The company avoids artificial colors/flavors, is gluten-free, contains no preservatives, and uses all natural recipes. I sent these in my 5-year-old’s lunch for summer camp and he LOVED them! They were light and perfectly seasoned (I had to do a “quality control” check before putting them in his lunch). I will definitely be buying these again for his kindergarten lunches.

Sing-Along Fun: Old MacDonald Had a Farm

Both my sons loved this book. The book’s illustrations were shiny and appealing for my infant and the popular song engaged them both. This book is part of a new sing-along series. The charming illustrations make the books a perfect introduction to classic nursery rhymes! And the Carry-Me handle makes it easy for kids to take on the go.

$6.99 for the board book
