Spicy Citrus Massage Oil
With a 4-month-old baby and a 5-year-old at home, workouts I can do in my living room are the only way I’m getting exercise in. Unfortunately, that means a lot of “in place” cardio is going on! The drawback to that type of movement is that knees can take a beating if you’re not used to it.
So I turned to my EO bible and found they were the PERFECT oils to manage the discomfort I was experiencing.
Spicy Citrus Muscle Massage Oil
6 drops grapefruit essential oil (I use THIS brand)
6 drops black pepper oil (I use THIS brand)
2 teaspoons organic sweet almond oil (I use THIS one)
Just after activity (and cool/down and/or stretching), massage this blend into your skin at site of soreness. Massage vigorously. You can leave on or take a warm bath and continue to massage into the skin as you soak.
Keep essential oils away from eyes, genitals, or open wounds!
NOTE: My husband and I have used this on our necks, feet, and knees with great success! Be sure to do a patch test, first. Apply to a small area and wait about 15 minutes to make sure you don not have a reaction.
