Post Workout Essential Oil Blend
On the road to good health, I have learned many things: Eat real food, use unprocessed/minimally processed ingredients, cook more, grow own food, utilize holistic wellness (chiropractic/massage), move more/lift heavy things, and now I’m finally ditching commercial home/body products in favor of natural alternatives. Enter essential oils!
If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition you should definitely consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use.
Muscle Soreness Relief Blend
Essential oils needed:
- 6 drops Frankincense
- 6 drops Tea Tree
- 6 drops Peppermint
- 3 drops of Clove
- 3 t. fractionated coconut oil
Directions: mix all ingredients together and massage onto the muscles. I would NOT use this in any sensitive areas (near the eyes, or mouth, or genitals—e.g. groin pull) because of the intensity of the mixture. I loved the relief I felt from this blend after a good workout, but if you find it’s a little intense, reduce the peppermint until you find your balance.
